UNLV football's new, tasty tradition continues for a second year with the annual Rebel Football Cook-off. Fans are invited to submit their favorite tailgating recipe for a chance to be selected as finalists to showcase their cooking skills. There are three categories to enter: appetizer, dip, and/or entree. The top two submissions from each category scoring the highest points will be selected to present their dish on site at Allegiant Stadium on May 12 at 6pm to be judged by head football coach Marcus Arroyo, director of athletics Desiree Reed-Francois, and sports nutritionist Nicole Kiley.
Cookoff contestants will be selected based on recipes scoring the highest points using the criteria below:
- Suitability for gameday (1-10)
- Ingredients used (1-10)
- Contestants submitting a photo of their dish receive 1 bonus point
