The UNLV men's soccer program is led by third-year head coach Rich Ryerson. Ryerson is a former standout player for the Rebels and still holds the school records for most matches played and started. The Rebels return ALL 11 starters from last year, and almost 100 percent of their goal scoring. Among the returning players are sophomore forward Salvador Bernal, the 2011 MPSF Newcomer of the Year, and senior forward Nick Marshall, a two-time all-conference selection and the first-ever Rebel to earn all-region honors as a freshman (in 2009). UNLV will feature 13 players from the Las Vegas/Henderson area. The Rebels have nine newcomers this year. The 2012 home schedule kicks off against Cal State Northridget on Friday, September 7th at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
